Carry out mechanical repair and maintenance work on factory services and equipment to maintain efficiency of the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and repair mechanical faults with factory services and equipment in order to maintain efficient operations.
- Set up and make mechanical adjustments to the factory equipment and services in order to maintain efficient operations.
- Observe factory equipment and services to establish what planned maintenance work needs to be carried out.
- Record any planned maintenance on SAP planned maintenance work sheet in order to provide an accurate reference point.
- Communicate with both colleagues and supervisor in order to maintain a well-formed team.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining efficient operations during a job change.
Required skills / qualifications:
- Understanding of mechanical principles, and operation of various factory equipment and services.
- Engineering experience in factory work areas.
- Understanding of technical drawings.
- Ability to carry out welding and fabrication desired.
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Ability to carry out engineering maintenance work on factory services and equipment; Adjust / Repair / Dismantle / reassemble / Diagnose faults.
- Ability to communicate effectively: Verbally and in writing.

- Salary based on Grade 7 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary minimum £34,000 - £37,599 max.
