Detect container defects relevant to line for which responsibility is held to ensure containers meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Gauge the bottles in order to ensure they meet the necessary specifications in accordance with the procedures stated in the Company Quality Manual.
  • Carry out visual checks of the bottles each hour in order to detect any occurring defects so that they can be dealt with as quickly as possible in order to minimise loss.
  • Communicate with the hot end verbally and via APS, in order to resolve problems quickly and effectively. Report any occurrences in APS in order to maintain an accurate reference point.
  • Carry out specified tests, pressure, coating and weight at regular intervals in order to ensure that bottles meet necessary specifications, and that quality is maintained.
  • Observe the performance of the cold end equipment both directly and via PIC and APS reacting to any changes to avoid quality or efficiency problems.
  • Report any equipment or mechanical malfunctions as quickly as possible to the correct persons to minimise downtime and maintain efficiency. Assist during and after a job change in order to establish and maintain effective operations.

Competitive salary based on Grade 5 of the harmonised pay scales; Salary min £37,000 Max £39,1935 (inclusive of shift allowance)

12hr days/nights shifts when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota, holidays are built into the

shift 5 crew rota.
