Hot End First Line Manager (SPE)- Shifts
Barnsley Plant
Control and monitor Hot End production, to achieve maximum efficiency and quality standards, via effective use of labour and equipment
Responsibilities:
- Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you
- Monitor quality checks carried out by the machine operators, on the bottles to ensure they meet specification
- Establish an effective communication flow between shop floor and senior management in order to maintain a well-informed team; Resolve any personnel issues if possible, or inform management required.
- Assist in job changes in order to establish and maintain efficient operations during and after a job change
- Observe the performance of the Independent Section machines directly and via APS, responding to any changes in order to maintain efficient operations
- Respond to any machine operator queries in order to resolve problems and minimise downtime
- Monitor the forehearth and feeder area responding to any changes or alarms to maintain effective operations
- Identify and repair occurring mechanical malfunctions or container defects in order to maintain efficiency
- As a supervisor you will be responsible for your own personal safety and that of all personnel under your authority. This will also include any contractors you engage to work on site.

- Supervise Operator training and development and ability to supervise a team
Promote strong and visible Health and Safety leadership
Drive safety improvements within your team
- Manage occurrence of critical defects C.D.I.M; Container defects; Packed ware audit results; Ware set aside; Customer complaints
- SPE Shift Checks
- APS
- JOJO
- Understanding of APS and X-Par system; A good understanding of the 360 Timing Principles
- Ability to identify container defects, Mechanical malfunctions
What we offer
- Salary based on Grade 8 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary min £44,000 – £49,370 max.

- 12hr days/nights Holidays- 21 shifts when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota, holidays are built into the shift 5 crew rota.
