We currently have a vacancy for a Batch & Furnace Operator at Doncaster, reporting to the B&F Team Leader.
Responsibilities:
- Handling of raw material deliveries, storage and mixing.
- Operation of vehicles such as loading shovel, tipper lorry and FLT (full training will be given).
- Batch & furnace operation, housekeeping and maintenance.
- Daily department routine check (RCM).
- High level of housekeeping applying 5S tools.
- Cullet testing and transport.
- Application of Lean Six Sigma tools to improve performance in the department.
Required skills / qualifications:
- Be organised, self-motivated.
- Have a high attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised.
- Have a commitment to continuous improvement & LSS.
- Have good IT skills (Windows, Office and SAP).
- Ideally hold an LSS yellow or green belt.
- Knowledge of mathematics or chemistry will be advantageous.
