Arcus FM are recruiting for a Trainee Management Accountant to join us on a permanent basis at our Upminster site. You will have the flexibility to work from home for 2 days per week, with the remaining 3 days required in the Upminster office.

You’ll be responsible for preparing management accounts, ensuring financial compliance and reporting, which includes assisting with statutory audits and tax matters (e.g., VAT). A core part of your role will involve balance sheet reconciliation and analysis, along with supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles. You will actively investigate variances and provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.

It’ll be challenging to work within a fast-paced, time-pressured environment, but with your strong attention to detail, time management skills, tenacious and hard-working ethic, you’ll rise to this challenge. It’ll be rewarding to work within a team who are open to listening to new and innovative ways of working. Essential requirements:

  • Part Qualified in (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Experience in finance and management accounts within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, driven, self-motivated, and confident communicator at all levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail while working under pressure with speed and accuracy.
  • Exceptional Excel and IT skills.

When you join us, you will receive:

  • Salary: £26,000 to £32,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
  • 4% bonus scheme, subject to achievement of targets.
