Senior M&E Engineer
c.£70,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

The National Theatre is a Grade 2* listed building and perhaps the UK’s pre-eminent 20th-century example of Brutalist architecture, using a limited material palette used to maximum architectural effect.This truly unique building has a floor coverage of over 57,000 sq.m. with a basement car park, substantial public foyer spaces, three auditoria, rehearsal rooms, office spaces and a complex of backstage spaces for technical resources and support areas, alongside costume making and construction workshops. All designed to make the NT self-sufficient in the theatre making process. The portfolio extends to two other sites, the grade 2 listed National Theatre Studio in The Cut and The Hire Department Store in South London.
Reporting to the Head of Estates Capital Projects, the post will be responsible for supporting the Estates Capital Projects team in all project engineering matters for its wide portfolio of capital projects. This portfolio includes the programme of NT Infrastructure Upgrade projects to be delivered by March 2026. The role will act as a point of contact for Contractors, Designers, NT Project Managers, external Project Managers and the Programme Manager for all engineering related queries.
This is a unique and compelling client-side project engineering leadership role. The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in an M&E project management role, having delivered a variety of building services and infrastructure projects across a diverse variety of building types during their career. We are seeking an individual with a high motivated, enthusiastic and receptive disposition and the interpersonal and communication skills to operate successfully with a diverse range of stakeholder group.
