About the Role:
Our client, a leading Lloyd’s of London insurer, is urgently seeking an experienced Database Developer to join their team. This is a hands-on role that combines SQL/database development with expertise in Solar systems, translating finance requirements into technical solutions and supporting critical month-end activities. You will work on small changes, overnight processing, and system improvements, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) solutions.
- Support Solar, Eclipse / Verisk, and related finance systems.
- Translate finance and business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support month-end processes, overnight batch processing, and small system changes.
- Assist with ETL/data migration tasks and system testing.
- Work with Azure DevOps, TFS/GitHub, and ServiceNow for development and change management.
- Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s processes, messaging, and regulatory reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) development.
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s insurance processes and regulatory reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Solar, Eclipse / Verisk, and ServiceNow.
- Experience with ETL/data migration, system testing, and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, TFS, GitHub).
- Ability to work independently and deliver solutions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
