A research-driven technology firm operating one of the most advanced compute platforms in Europe is strengthening its cloud platform team. The group owns the design, security, and evolution of a large-scale AWS environment that underpins critical internal engineering workloads.
This is a senior, hands-on platform role for engineers who have built and operated cloud foundations, not just consumed them.
Key responsibilities:- Own and evolve the organisation’s AWS landing zone and multi-account platform
- Design and implement preventative security and governance controls across accounts
- Define and manage identity, access, and organisational guardrails using AWS Organizations and IAM
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Improve platform reliability, security, and operational standards
- Enable internal teams to safely and efficiently consume the platform
- Experience designing or owning an AWS landing zone or equivalent multi-account platform
- Strong knowledge of AWS Organizations, SCPs, RCPs, delegated administration, and account governance
- Practical experience with preventative security controls and data perimeter concepts
- Strong IAM experience including cross-account access and condition-based policies
- Advanced Terraform experience in shared, multi-account environments
