Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Technical Administrator to join our team in Redditch on a full-time basis. You will provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to our Shutters and Gates team — acting as the key point of contact for engineers, coordinating operational tasks, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service. You’ll play an active role in maintaining planned and reactive maintenance schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed SLA timeframes. In addition, drive weekly team performance calls, and prepare reports to support the National Secure Manager in making informed operational and contractual decisions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically minded and organized professional to make a significant impact in a growing, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management & SLA Oversight – Ensure timely resolution of customer queries and incidents, consistently meeting or exceeding agreed SLAs.
- Resource & Utilisation Planning – Maintain engineer utilisation at or above 85% through accurate forecasting, scheduling, and capacity management.
- Process Governance & Continuous Improvement – Document, review, and optimise service desk and operational processes, identifying and implementing ongoing improvements.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Alignment – Produce and present regular performance and utilisation reports to management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Customer Service Excellence – Deliver exceptional customer experiences, managing escalations professionally and ensuring clear, courteous communication at all times.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a proactive, methodical and detail-oriented professional with strong communication and organisational skills. You excel at managing multiple priorities and enjoy contributing to a high-performing, customer-focused team. You may already be working in a similar technical administrative or coordination role, or you could be a Shutters and Gates Engineer looking to transition into a more administrative and operationally focused position. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience within the industrial door, automatic door, shutter or gates industry.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to support and guide engineers and office-based staff.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritisation abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- A customer-first mindset and commitment to service excellence.
- Confident use of job management and scheduling software.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites or depots when required.

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
