Why Join Us
Are you fed-up of working long hours, driving ridiculous distances and constantly sitting and staring at the interior of your van? If so, then read on!
What You'll Be Doing
Our Refrigeration Fabric Engineers work 45 hours per week, but 2 of those hours are ‘banked’ towards the one Saturday & Sunday you are on call each 7 weeks. You’ll be on call 1 week in 7 and there’s overtime available.
You’ll carry out fabrication repairs of refrigeration equipment in all clients' stores to an agreed service level. This will include cold rooms, shop floor cabinets and integral doors/furniture/fittings etc. Adherence to all Arcus and client H&S procedures is really important in this role. You'll have the ability to complete your list of jobs within a pre-set time and enjoy meeting new people and developing relationships across your stores. It’ll be challenging in the height of summer when one of your supermarkets raises an alarm for one of the cabinets and you have to ensure it’s all completed within the SLA agreed timescales. No matter what job you’re doing, you’ll take pride in achieving high standards of work.
What We're Looking For
You'll be working largely on your own, but sometimes within a small team including other Fabric Engineers, so it’s key you integrate well into the team and have an easy-going nature. As you will be experienced you won’t need your hand holding on the repair side of things and we’ll support you with using the computer system so you can carry out your new role.
In order for you to be able to fulfil the job role you will need to have:
- NICEIC Accessory Course
- Experience of installation and repair to cold rooms and cabinets.
- Experience in basic electrical repairs and replacement to trim heater and defrost heaters.
We like our team to feel appreciated and valued. One of the biggest benefits for working with us is the value we place on training and development of our engineering teams. We’ll support you every step of the way, including having access to our very own fully kitted out training academy. You’ll even have use of a private van and specialist tools needed to do the job.
When you join us you will receive:
- Salary: £36,469 per annum
- Up to 4% discretionary bonus scheme, subject to achievement of targets.
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Matched contribution Pension scheme of 4.5% up to 6%
- Health Cash Plan & Life Assurance
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Discounts, vouchers, and financial aid programs
- Refer a Friend reward scheme
- Funded Training Sponsorship Scheme
- Access to state-of-the-art training academy
