Arcus FM are recruiting for a Trainee Management Accountant to join us on a permanent basis at our Upminster site. You will have the flexibility to work from home for 2 days per week, with the remaining 3 days required in the Upminster office.
You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, ensuring financial compliance and reporting, which includes assisting with statutory audits and tax matters (e.g., VAT). A core part of your role will involve balance sheet reconciliation and analysis, along with supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles. You will actively investigate variances and provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
It will be challenging to work within a fast-paced, time-pressured environment, but with your strong attention to detail, time management skills, tenacious and hard-working ethic, you will rise to this challenge. It will be rewarding to work within a team who are open to listening to new and innovative ways of working.
You will be results-driven, articulate, and confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have a 'can-do' positive attitude with an appetite to learn, develop, and progress. It is desirable that you are Part Qualified in (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and have experience in finance and management accounts within a fast-paced environment.
You will be a proactive, driven, self-motivated and confident communicator at all levels. Your attention to detail will be second to none whilst working under pressure with speed and accuracy. It is essential for this role that you have exceptional Excel and IT skills.
