We are looking for an experienced BMS Engineer to join our Service & Maintenance team. You will play a key role in optimising energy performance and comfort control across a wide range of commercial, industrial and public sector buildings. Working in a field-based environment, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and improving Building Management Systems, while delivering excellent service to our clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Service and maintenance of Building Management Systems
- Fault finding, diagnostics and energy performance reviews
- Identifying, reporting and quoting for system repairs, upgrades and enhancements
- Supporting continuous improvement of system efficiency and performance
- Working closely with the Service Manager (or Managing Director when required)
- Engaging professionally with clients and stakeholders at all levels
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Recognised and relevant qualification in BEMS
- Appropriate trade qualifications
- Current and relevant Health & Safety qualification
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience working with BMS Control systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens and RDM
- Experience in mobile, multi-site commercial environments
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems
- Experience working with CAFM systems in a field-based team
- Solid knowledge of network architectures (TCP/IP, MSTP, RS485)
- Strong understanding of communications protocols
- Knowledge of field devices including sensors, valves, actuators, dampers, VSDs, switches and relays
- Experience with supervisor software and control platforms
Skills & Attributes
- Ability to select, install, configure and update control hardware and logic
- Comfortable working independently or under supervision
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external
- Proactive, adaptable and resilient
- IT literate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage workload using own initiative in a fast-paced environment
