At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part-time In-store Cleaner based at Sainsbury's South Shields store on a permanent basis. This role offers 12 hours per week at an hourly rate of £12.21. Immediate start is available.
Sainsbury's stores are open 7 days a week. At Arcus, we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6-day working options. Shifts include early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening, with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:
- Sunday: Day Off
- Monday: Day Off
- Tuesday: Day Off
- Wednesday: 06:00 - 09:00
- Thursday: 06:00 - 09:00
- Friday: 06:00 - 09:00
- Saturday: 06:00 - 09:00
You will also have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.
Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury's supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Operating machinery
- Thorough cleaning activities such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping
- Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies inside the store
- Cleaning trolley bays outside, keeping them free of leaves and debris
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
Arcus will support you with full training.
What will you need?
Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential, as on-the-job training will be provided. An eye for detail and cleanliness, along with a positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service.
Please note: You will need to provide a smartphone with NFC capability to access our Arcus Connect App, used for recording time and attendance. This is a condition of employment.
