Arcus FM are recruiting for a Trainee Management Accountant, to join us on a permanent basis, at our Upminster site. You will have the flexibility to work from home for 2 days per week, with the remaining days (3 days) required in the Upminster office.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll be responsible for the preparing of management accounts, ensuring financial compliance and reporting, which includes assisting with statutory audits and tax matters (e.g., VAT).
- A core part of your role will involve balance sheet reconciliation and analysis, along with supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- You will actively investigate variances and provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
It’ll be challenging to work within a fast-paced, time-pressured environment, but with your strong attention to detail, time management skills, tenacious and hard-working ethic, you’ll rise to this challenge. It’ll be rewarding to work within a team who are open to listening to new and innovative ways of working.

Essential requirements
- It’s essential that you are Part Qualified in (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Experience in finance and management accounts within a fast-paced environment.
- You’ll be a proactive, driven, self-motivated and confident communicator at all levels.
- Your attention to detail will be second to none whilst working under pressure with speed and accuracy.
- It’s essential for this role that you have exceptional Excel and IT skills.
