We are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Inspector to join a growing and successful scaffolding division.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic team delivering complex access, temporary works, and protection solutions across a wide range of construction, infrastructure, residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Working closely with project teams, engineers, and clients, you will be responsible for producing safe, practical, and cost-effective scaffolding designs that support successful project delivery from concept through to installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce scaffold designs, calculations, and detailed drawings in accordance with current industry standards and regulations.
  • Design a variety of scaffold solutions including independent scaffolds, birdcages, temporary roofs, loading bays, shoring, support scaffolds, and specialist access systems.
  • Develop design briefs and liaise with clients, site teams, and engineers to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare design risk assessments and ensure compliance with TG20, SG4, BS EN 12811, and relevant temporary works procedures.
  • Review and check designs for structural integrity, safety, and buildability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operational and commercial teams.
  • Attend site visits to assess requirements and resolve design-related challenges.
  • Produce design calculations and reports where required.
  • Work alongside scaffold contractors and site management teams to ensure designs are installed in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Assist with value engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce project costs. Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Scaffolding Designer within the construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of scaffolding design principles, temporary works, and relevant industry standards.
  • Proficient in Auto CAD and scaffolding design software such as CADS, Scaffold Designer, or similar.
  • Ability to prepare calculations and interpret structural engineering information.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, engineers, and site teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • CISRS Scaffolding Design qualification or equivalent preferred.
  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous. What's on Offer
