We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a standalone commercial dilapidation project in Little Braxted, Essex. This will be working on behalf of a main contractor. This is an £800k project involving the full strip-out, demolition and dilapidation works of an existing commercial unit. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
Responsibilities
- Managing all site operations from start to completion
- Coordinating subcontractors and site labour
- Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining site standards
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Monitoring programme and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager
- Managing site documentation including RAMS, permits and site records
- Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders as required
- Overseeing strip-out, demolition and enabling works activities
- Managing site logistics and material deliveries
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the project
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial refurbishment, demolition, strip-out or dilapidation projects
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
- Strong health & safety knowledge
- Ability to manage a site independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience delivering projects in the £500k–£2m range desirable
