As a Training Instructor at Arco Professional Safety Services, you'll find yourself immersed in a dynamic role that goes beyond mere instruction. You will be the linchpin of a team dedicated to equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate working at height and confined spaces safely and confidently.

Our Training Instructor vacancy is based in the South West of England. Alongside experienced Instructors, we are also open to receive applications from candidates looking to widen and develop their Instructor career so if you don’t hold all of the below qualifications, we will work with you to develop those areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver, and be involved with the delivery of, a wide range of client support services, aligned to your skill set, both accredited and non-accredited
  • Support the delivery of a range of Health & Safety Training courses
  • Help in the generation of new clients and promoting the range of services available through Arco Professional Safety Services
  • Develop and deliver bespoke client courses
  • Maintain the training equipment and storage areas
  • Assist with practical demonstrations and equipment sales events

The ideal Training Instructor will:

  • Have a full UK Driving Licence
  • Possess good verbal communication skills, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Be able to work as part of a team and alone unsupervised
  • Have strong IT skills with a knowledge of presentation packages and equipment
  • Be happy to travel (when needed) to client sites, as well as occasional out of hours/ weekend working (pre-agreed)
  • Hold at least one of the below qualifications and be prepared to develop and train in other areas:
    • Confined Space Training (City & Guilds)
    • Health & Safety – Tech IOSH or above
    • Work at Height – IRATA Level 1 (minimum)
