Are you an experienced Artworker with a creative eye for producing expert digital artwork that brings to life a customer’s exact requirements? As we enter an exciting phase of digital growth with the release of our frictionless proposition, we are now looking for an experienced Artworker to join our team in Preston. Arco Clothing Centre, our specialist decorative facility enables us to create our own range of branded safety products and embroider our customers' products, specific to their needs. The Artworker will work with a variety of customers including some of the biggest and most recognisable brands in the UK.

The Artworker will utilise dedicated software to create, improve and amend the direct to film artworks that our customers are requesting, using your product knowledge and customer service skills to ensure we are producing correctly first time, and satisfying our customers' needs. The role is a hybrid position, with a mix of home working and from our site in Preston.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate print ready artwork visuals and proofs for the print processes which comply with customer requirements
  • Retouching, reworking or fixing the design, customising to customer request, colour balancing, resizing and eliminating any inconsistencies
  • Assembling artwork files and prepare proofs for customer approval prior to print
  • Making sure artwork is consistent, accurate, adheres to any brand guidelines, and is in line with the published service level agreements
  • Checking quality and colour management to guarantee high quality print matching
  • Approving first-off prints prior to production and provide support to the operational department
  • Communicating effectively with our customer service and production teams to coordinate orders, prioritise the production of artworks and ensure lead times are met
  • Supporting sales teams in customer visits, promotional events and roadshows to promote the decoration services

The ideal Artworker will be/have:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of Illustrator/ Corel Draw with ability to colour match effectively
  • Able to amend graphic layouts as instructed by customers
  • Excellent computing, mechanical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal and respond to customer queries in a professional manner, both via telephone and email
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain a high level of accuracy whilst always displaying a professional attitude
  • Detailed knowledge of clothing and decoration services
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to know when to ask for help
