We’re looking for a driven and commercially focused Technical Sales Consultant to join our Professional Safety Services team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with customers to deliver expert guidance, promote best practice, and grow our presence across key safety service areas including Work at Height, Confined Spaces, and Respiratory Protection. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our service offering, building strong customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth across your territory. This role will be field based covering the North of England.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to customers, sharing best practices to help manage risks across safety services.
- Position Arco Professional Safety Services as the approved provider for training, consultancy, equipment hire, and servicing.
- Identify and convert sales opportunities within existing accounts to increase service penetration.
- Promote a joined-up safety approach and maximise cross-selling opportunities.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline.
- Drive sales growth across key service areas: Work at Height, Confined Space, and Respiratory.
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans for key customers.
- Network within local safety groups and industry sectors.
- Align activity with national and regional sales & marketing strategies.
- Capture and share customer insights to inform wider sales strategy.
- Support local safety centres to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Collaborate with marketing on regional campaigns to increase brand awareness.
- Collaborate with Arco sales teams to provide sales support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using CRM systems.
Qualifications
- A proven track record of achieving sales and profit targets in a service-led environment.
- An understanding of Confined Space safety, Work at Height, or Respiratory protection services would be beneficial.
- An understanding of H&S legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Confident in influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision-makers.
