Are you looking for an exciting opportunity, working within a unique retail environment for a market leading business? Arco have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Branch Sales Advisor to join the team, working from our flagship branch in Hull. As a Branch Sales Advisor you will deliver high levels of customer service, and actively drive sales activity, improving customer loyalty and growing Arco’s profitability.

The Branch Sales Advisor role is a part time position for 30 hours a week over 4 days a week. The days and hours of work are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday plus 09:00 - 16:00 Thursday, with a 1 hour break each day. There is also a requirement to work additionally one Saturday morning every 4 weeks on a rotational basis.

Don’t worry if you don’t know much about the health and safety industry or personal protective equipment (PPE), as we’ll teach you all there is to know, and provide you with a platform to learn, develop and grow.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high levels of customer service and build strong customer relationships
  • Supporting with opening accounts, providing quotations and customer account management
  • Driving sales through customer calling, leaflet distribution and other sales activity
  • Managing cash in line with company policies and procedures including cashing up, processing refunds and supporting with the banking collection
  • Following merchandising principles, including pricing, campaign set ups and ensuring product displays are well maintained
  • Assisting with control of stock, including processing of deliveries, click and collect and actioning weekly stock counts
  • Supporting Branch operations including stock preparation, stock management and restocking of customer sites (where required)
  • Complying with and being an advocate for Health & Safety and Security at all times
  • Covering our IMS Coordinator when required which involves driving a company van to customer sites

About you

The ideal Branch Sales Advisor will be/have:

  • Experience of working face to face with customers, preferably in a retail environment
  • Experience of sales, either over the phone or face to face
  • Strong IT skills; Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and the ability to learn new software
  • A full UK driving licence with the confidence to drive a van if required
