Yard Operative / Forklift Driver
This role is offered by Arco Recruitment Ltd for a growing independent builders’ merchant. The successful candidate will manage the handling of materials, goods and equipment at the branch.
Key Details
- Salary: Up to £31,100 DOE
- Hours: Mon – Fri & Saturday (08:00 – 12:00) – alternate Saturdays
- Location: Requires access to transport due to branch location
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, load and unload trucks, and organize and store materials.
- Maintain inventory records and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Act as first point of contact for customers arriving at the branch.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or defects and ensure safe, efficient handling.
- Follow safety procedures rigorously to minimize risk of accidents and injuries.
