As our new HR Consultant, you’ll be a trusted coach and advisor to managers across the business, supporting them as required and enabling them to drive great performance and engagement at every level. As a HR Consultant at Arco, you will work in a hybrid fashion, with a mix of working from our head office in Hull, home‑based working and site‑based travel within the UK when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting our HR Business Partner in the implementation of HR projects and strategic initiatives, leading on specific activity
- Driving, advocating and actively participating in the Arco comms and engagement strategy for the relevant business area, ensuring the colleague voice is always represented
- Managing and delivering training and development sessions as required to upskill our people managers whilst coaching managers on HR Policy and processes ensuring best practice is followed
- Driving the successful utilisation of the HR Operating model in collaboration with our HR Service Centre
- Analysing HR data, identifying trends & insights and making recommendations to deliver business performance whilst owning the people data for the relevant business areas
- Coaching managers to embed the performance management framework and enable a high performing culture
- Collaborating with business leads to support change management activity

About you:
- A sound Employee Relations background, and be ideally CIPD qualified or have relevant demonstrable experience
- Excellent Microsoft Office systems knowledge and skills inc. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels and be flexible in approach
- Good coaching skills and experience of delivering training
- Comfortable working at pace and results focused
- An understanding of the change management cycle
- Knowledge of talent attraction
- The ability to work with minimum of supervision
- An understanding of people and commercial metrics
