Working in a safe, accurate and efficient manner, you will be carrying out standard warehouse operations and acting as lead warehouse person within your team. You will also be required to deputise NDC team leader responsibilities at times of holiday, sickness or absence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced operative looking to make their first steps into leadership, or someone with some leadership experience looking for an opportunity to upskill and progress their career.
Key responsibilities include:- Responsibility for the quality of work produced by the team, and for resource planning and utilisation
- Responsibility for all health and safety in the warehouse area and ensuring compliance with a set of operating procedures, using computer and manual systems to achieve agreed operational targets
- Analysing and resolving standard operational problems, including use of the Warehouse Management/SAP Systems
- Responsibility for staff, performance and absence management and the ability to deputise for the team leader in their absence
- Supporting the warehouse team leader with continuous improvement projects
- Responsibility of supervision, workload, holiday, sickness/absence management and conducting staff performance reviews

The ideal Senior Warehouse Operative will have:
- Basic IT skills and good levels of literacy and numeracy
- Previous warehouse experience
- Knowledge of health & safety
- Product knowledge including pack quantities and quality and in-depth knowledge of WMS/SAP systems
- A strong desire to achieve departmental goals and look for continuous improvement
- Organisational skills along with excellent accuracy and the ability to instil this as a key measure within the department
