About The Role

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity, working within a unique retail environment for a market leading business? Arco have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Branch Sales Advisor to join the team, working from our store in Leeds. As a Branch Sales Advisor you will deliver high levels of customer service, and actively drive sales activity, improving customer loyalty and growing Arco’s profitability.

The Branch Sales Advisor role is a full time position for 40 hours a week over 5 days, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. The store is open on Saturday mornings so every so often we may require you to work a Saturday morning. Don’t worry if you don’t know much about the health and safety industry or personal protective equipment (PPE), as we’ll teach you all there is to know, and provide you with a platform to learn, develop and grow. This role can lead to future progression within Arco.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out outbound calls to customers to build relationships and drive revenue through accounts
  • Supporting the Territory Account Manager with local customers
  • Providing high levels of customer service and building strong customer relationships
  • Supporting with opening accounts, providing quotations and customer account management
  • Driving sales through customer calling, leaflet distribution and other sales activity
  • Managing cash in line with company policies and procedures including cashing up, processing refunds and supporting with the banking collection
  • Following merchandising principles, including pricing, campaign set ups and ensuring product displays are well maintained
  • Assisting with control of stock, including processing of deliveries, click and collect and actioning weekly stock counts
  • Supporting Branch operations including stock preparation, stock management and restocking of customer sites (where required)
  • Complying with and being an advocate for Health & Safety and Security at all times

Qualifications

  • Experience of sales, either over the phone or face to face
  • Strong IT skills; Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and the ability to learn new software
  • UK driving licence is advantageous but not a necessity for this role
