Responsible for shipping all materials, equipment, merchandise and supplies in compliance with applicable rules and regulations of the Department of Transportation, Airlines requirements and/or International Governing Agencies. Develop and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the regulations and/or special requirements of Domestic and International carriers used by the company. Responsible for receiving and racking of all inbound freight from outside vendors and production pack outs. Responsible for supporting production in pulling and staging of raw materials as directed by the transfer orders.

Position Description/Responsibilities

  • Operate standup and sit down forklifts safely and efficiently to include changing cylinders/batteries.
  • Become familiar with and thoroughly understand the proper care and use of all personal protective equipment needed for safe chemical processing operations (i.e., respirators, hardhats, safety glasses, gloves, acid suits, etc) and to use these in daily tasks as required.
  • Use SAP system to lookup inventory, process transfer orders, etc.
  • Check the accuracy and correctness of orders to be shipped and received.
  • Ship materials, equipment, merchandise and supplies in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Perform routine duties when necessary to ensure a safe and reliable Shipping and Receiving Operation.
  • Ensure that all shipments that are received have credible origin and substantial documentation.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate standup and sitdown forklifts, tractor trailers, tugger, and other mobile equipment.
  • Must possess adequate math skills to complete accurate paperwork.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours (including overtime) dependent on workload.
  • Be able to gain a working knowledge of SAP (looking up inventory, processing transfer orders, etc).
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening and physical, including medical clearance to wear a respirator.
