This new role will serve as the on-site HR resource to recruit, interview, retain, engage, and inform employees at our Martin facility. This is a great step for someone with some HR experience who wants to step up into greater responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site HR resource by answering questions about pay, benefits, policies, leaves, etc.
- Handle first-line employee relations concerns and partner with site leadership to identify and address recurrent issues.
- Ensure payroll and paid time off accuracy for the site; partner with site members to improve timecard reporting and prevent leaks.
- Recruit for all Martin-based openings, sourcing and interviewing candidates to maintain a pipeline for key positions.
- Prioritise retention of site staff; create and execute retention programs and advocate for necessary actions.
- Increase employee engagement; plan and execute engagement activities; handle facility recognition programs.
- Monitor and address schedule adherence.
- Partner with leadership to identify pain points, determine strategic goals and HR-related opportunities; define and execute strategies to address and resolve.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- At least 2 years previous HR experience required.
- Hands-on recruiting experience needed, preferably in manufacturing or light industrial.
- Experience with HRIS and/or payroll system helpful.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to take initiative and act with urgency.
