Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technologist/Technician to support the technical delivery of national housebuilder residential schemes. This role is focused on RIBA Stage 4 onwards, taking projects through detailed design, coordination, and construction. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong job running experience who is confident taking ownership of packages and driving projects through the delivery phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and manage detailed technical drawing packages using AutoCAD (Stage 4+)
- Take responsibility for job running across multiple residential schemes
- Manage and support team members, including reviewing and overseeing their output
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Review and respond to technical queries (RFIs) during construction
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and technical standards
- Support the project through site stages, including addressing on-site issues
- Attend and contribute to technical and coordination meetings
Experience Required
- 10+ years of practice-based experience in the residential sector.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
- Proven experience running projects from Stage 4 through to completion
- Experience working on residential / housebuilder schemes
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
- Confident coordinating across multiple project stakeholders
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage deadlines effectively
- Familiarity with Revit preferred but not mandatory
