LB Design Recruitment is working with a well-established and busy architectural practice based in central Southampton. Specialising in residential schemes, they work with both large national housebuilders and smaller regional developers on projects ranging from 10 to 2,000+ homes, including low to medium-rise mixed-use new builds and refurbishments. Due to a strong pipeline of new work, the practice is now seeking both a Middleweight and a Senior Housing Technician to join their growing team.
The Role:
- Produce comprehensive residential working drawing packages
- Review, approve and coordinate third-party design drawings for any technical inconsistencies
- Liaise with Building Control/NHBC to discharge conditions
- Produce external works and conveyance layouts, including coordinating with civil engineers
- Lead project delivery as a design team leader
- Attend site visits and client meetings
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years' post-qualification experience in a similar UK-based role
- Proven experience working on UK residential developer housing projects
- Comfortable managing new and existing client relationships
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); Revit experience is a bonus
- In-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance processes
