LB Design Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Interior Architecture and Project Management studio known for delivering high-impact commercial workplace environments across the UK. They are now seeking an Architectural Technician / Technical Designer to join their UK-South studio. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused, proactive technician to become part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working in a busy, fast-paced commercial design environment.
You will support the production of technical drawing packages, contribute to project coordination and help deliver workplace schemes ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 sq ft.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce accurate technical drawings, tender packages and construction details
- Support designers and project leads across all RIBA stages
- Assist with surveys, site coordination and resolving technical queries
- Prepare drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
- Collaborate closely with internal designers, PMs and external consultants
- Help ensure technical information aligns with programme, budget and quality standards
- Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture or Technical Design
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential), with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Proven UK-based experience within the commercial workspace or interior architecture sector
- Solid understanding of construction details and technical standards
- Able to manage workload efficiently within a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
