A progressive and ambitious architectural practice are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its delivery‑focused team. The Role
The Senior Architect will take responsibility for the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA stages, with a strong focus on Gateway 2 submissions and construction‑stage coordination. Working within delivery‑focused teams, the role will involve leading technical packages, coordinating consultants, liaising directly with clients and contractors, and supporting projects through Gateway approvals, Building Control and site delivery. This position suits a confident, hands‑on architect who enjoys problem‑solving, takes pride in technical quality, and is comfortable managing both information and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects and packages through RIBA Stages 3–5, with particular responsibility for Gateway 2 submissions
- Prepare, coordinate and oversee technical design, compliance and construction information
- Manage Building Regulations, Gateway and Building Warrant information where required
- Coordinate consultants and contribute to multidisciplinary design reviews
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors and statutory bodies
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members
- Maintain design intent while ensuring buildability, quality and regulatory compliance
- Participate in site coordination, responses to RFIs and construction‑stage problem solving
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex projects, particularly at RIBA Stages 4–5
- Strong understanding of Gateway 2, Building Regulations and compliance‑led design
- Confidence working directly with clients and leading small project teams
- High level of proficiency in Revit
