Project Interior Designer | Aviation & Transportation | London, UK
Our client is looking for a confident Project Interior Designer to join their Aviation & Transportation studio. Working alongside a highly skilled and passionate team, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex aviation projects, from premium lounges to large‑scale terminal interiors. The ideal candidate is design‑focused, proactive and keen to take on increasing responsibility while continuing to refine their technical and creative expertise.

The Role
The Project Interior Designer will play an active role in developing and delivering interior design projects, supporting concept development through to delivery while collaborating closely with clients, consultants and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to concept development and help shape the design narrative for aviation environments, from premium lounges to terminal interiors.
- Support the creation of hospitality‑driven spaces in travel, translating brand stories into spatial experiences that evoke emotion and belonging.
- Collaborate with the wider design team and clients to understand project vision and bring it to life through inspired, buildable design solutions.
- Curate materials, finishes, furnishings and detailing that balance design integrity with operational excellence.
- Participate in design reviews with a positive, curious mindset and openness to feedback.
- Prepare design presentation materials that communicate ideas and design intent with clarity and confidence.
- Produce project documentation and drawings, ensuring design intent is maintained through documentation, construction and completion.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants and brand strategists to deliver cohesive, integrated environments.
- Stay engaged with industry trends and design innovation, bringing fresh ideas and inspiration to the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 7+ years of professional interior design experience, ideally within aviation, hospitality or luxury commercial sectors.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence from concept through to realisation.
- Deep understanding of how interior design enhances guest experience and brand identity.
- Fluency in Revit, with solid experience in FF&E selection, detailing and documentation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to contribute to the delivery of complex projects and manage client relationships.
- Interest in sustainable design, innovation and future‑focused thinking.
- Professional registration preferred.
