A design focused studio specialising in high end private residential projects is seeking a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join their team. Working as part of a close knit team, you will contribute at every stage, developing thoughtful concepts and seeing them refined into beautifully resolved interiors and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with project architects on high end residential schemes across the UK
- Produce concept designs, options and presentations that clearly communicate ideas to clients
- Develop planning and tender packages using Vectorworks, ensuring information is clear and coordinated
- Prepare detailed drawings and schedules for bespoke joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and key interior elements
- Assist with design reviews, material research and samples, helping to set the tone for each project
- Attend site visits with the project team, contributing to problem solving and quality control
- Support the practice in maintaining tidy project files, drawing standards and digital libraries
Skills and Experience
- Part II qualified with proven experience on high end residential projects in the UK
- Strong design skills, with an eye for proportion, light, materials and detailing
- Proficient in Vectorworks, Sketchup and Adobe Suite
- Highly proficient 3D draughtsmanship and visualisation skills using Rhino and Enscape
- Solid understanding of UK planning and building regulations, and how they apply to residential work
- Comfortable working across all RIBA stages, from early concept through to technical information
- Clear visual and verbal communicator, confident presenting your ideas within a team
- Proactive, organised and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- The right to live and work in the UK - the practice cannot sponsor visas
