Job Description
Join a collaborative, award-winning design studio committed to shaping sustainable, people-focused places. As a Masterplanner, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects ranging from garden towns to medium-rise urban developments. You’ll be part of a creative team that values placemaking, innovation, and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process from visioning through to Outline Planning and Design Coding
- Produce high-quality planning documents including DAS, Design Codes, and Parameter Plans
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies
- Represent the studio in client meetings, public consultations, and stakeholder presentations
- Mentor junior team members and manage project timelines
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ UK-based experience in masterplanning
- RIBA Part 1 or equivalent urban design qualification
- Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and best practice
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Affinity (or Adobe CC)
- Excellent graphic, presentation, and report-writing skills
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
