Our client is looking for an experienced, designâled Interior Design Project Leader to join the Aviation & Transportation team in their studio. This role sits within a highly collaborative, creative team and offers the opportunity to work on worldâclass aviation environments, from premium lounges to largeâscale terminal interiors. The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping passenger experiences through thoughtful, emotive and wellâcrafted interior design, working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead concept development and guide the design narrative for aviation and transportation environments.
- Translate brand stories into meaningful spatial experiences that elevate the hospitality aspect of travel.
- Partner closely with clients to understand their vision and deliver inspired, buildable design solutions.
- C curate materials, finishes, FF&E and detailing that balance design quality with operational performance.
- Mentor, motivate and develop a team of designers, nurturing a collaborative and creative studio culture.
- Lead and present design concepts with clarity, confidence and a strong design point of view.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring design intent is maintained through documentation, construction and completion.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants and brand specialists to deliver cohesive, integrated environments.
- Build relationships within the wider design and aviation community and contribute to future opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 10+ years of interior design experience, ideally within aviation, hospitality or luxury commercial sectors.
- Professional registration.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence from concept through to delivery.
- Deep understanding of how interior design enhances guest experience and brand identity.
- Advanced Revit skills, with solid experience in FF&E selection, detailing and documentation.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, design teams and client relationships.
- Interest in sustainable design, innovation and futureâfocused thinking.
