The Project Architect will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA stages, with a strong focus on Gateway 2 submissions and construction-stage coordination. Working within delivery-focused teams, the role will involve coordinating technical packages, managing consultants, liaising directly with clients and contractors, and supporting projects through Gateway approvals, Building Control and site delivery. This position suits a confident, hands-on architect who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in technical quality, and is comfortable managing information while contributing positively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver projects and technical packages through RIBA Stages 3–5, with particular involvement in Gateway 2 submissions
- Prepare, coordinate and assist with technical design, compliance and construction information
- Contribute to Building Regulations, Gateway and Building Warrant information where required
- Coordinate consultants and participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
- Liaise with clients, contractors and statutory bodies as part of the project team
- Support and collaborate with junior and senior team members
- Maintain design intent while ensuring buildability, quality and regulatory compliance
- Participate in site coordination, responses to RFIs and construction-stage problem solving
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex projects, particularly at RIBA Stages 4–5
- Solid understanding of Gateway 2, Building Regulations and compliance-led design
- Confidence working directly with clients and contributing to project team leadership
- High level of proficiency in Revit
