Interior Designer or Part II Architectural Assistant at In-House Developer Team
Interior designers who can take a scheme from mood board to a buildable drawing set are rarer than the job adverts suggest. This London studio needs one of them.
This is an Interior Designer role on an architecture-led team, working across hospitality, retail and high-end residential interiors. You will be hands-on with the design and, just as importantly, with the technical drawings that get it built. If you enjoy the detail as much as the concept, read on.
The Practice
- You will join an architecture-led studio that runs its interiors alongside its building work.
- The team designs across hospitality, retail and high-end residential interiors.
- Projects include international work, so the briefs and locations vary.
The Work
- You will develop interiors from concept through to delivery, not one stage in isolation.
- You will produce technical drawings using Autocad that contractors can build from.
- You will coordinate your interiors with the wider architectural team.
- You will carry finishes, materials and detailing through to the final drawing set.
What You Need
- You can produce technical drawings, using autocad, which is a firm requirement for this role.
- You have experience designing interiors within an architecture or interiors studio.
- You can take a scheme from concept through to a buildable package.
- You will have 1–3 years’ experience in interior finishes, residential development or interior specifications.
- You will have a good eye for detail, colours, materials and contemporary residential finishes.
The Offer
- You will be offered a salary between £34,000-£40,000 GBP
- You will work on high-end residential interiors.
- You will join a studio with a structured training programme.
- You will have freedom to work autonomously.
