An international design practice is seeking an experienced Head of Interior Design to lead a new team for their London studio. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the creative vision and delivery of high-profile cultural, museum, hospitality, and high-end residential projects globally. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, inspire innovation, and ensure interiors excellence across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the interiors team, driving design quality, innovation, and technical rigour.
- Develop and implement interiors strategies aligned with the firm’s design philosophy and client expectations.
- Oversee all stages of interiors projects, from concept through to delivery, ensuring cohesive and contextually sensitive designs.
- Collaborate closely with architects, clients, consultants, and contractors to integrate interiors seamlessly with architectural intent.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a creative and collaborative working environment.
- Represent the interiors team in client presentations and contribute to new business opportunities.
- Work across studios as part of an internationally focused company.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a senior interior designer with at least 8 years’ experience in high-end cultural, hospitality, and high-end residential sectors - a mix of typology experience is essential to be considered.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional design sensibility combined with technical knowledge of materials, FFE, and detailing.
- Proficient in Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite, Revit a bonus but not essential.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively within international project teams and manage multiple projects.
- The right to live and work in the UK.
