The studio, an award-winning, RIBA Chartered architecture practice based in London, is looking for a Document Controller to join the team on a contract basis, with a clear pathway to a permanent role. The practice is known for its strong focus on deliverable, commercially viable design and works across residential, mixed-use and large-scale masterplanning projects. With a people-centred approach at its core, the team supports schemes from early feasibility through to construction, combining design expertise with a deep understanding of planning, real estate and delivery to create thoughtful environments that support long-term communities.
About the Role
The Document Controller will play a key role in supporting project teams by managing, organising and maintaining accurate project documentation across a range of live schemes. Working closely with architects, consultants and contractors, they will ensure information is issued correctly, tracked efficiently and stored in line with project and company standards. This is a contract position with a strong view to becoming permanent, offering the opportunity to become a valued part of a collaborative and fast-paced studio environment. The successful individual will quickly build an understanding of project workflows and contribute to the smooth running of documentation processes from early design stages through to completion.
What the Studio is Looking For
- Previous experience in a Document Controller or similar role within architecture, construction or design-led environments.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of information accurately and efficiently.
- Confident communication skills, able to coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet key deadlines.
- Experience using document management systems such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite or similar platforms is highly desirable.
