A respected, multi-studio architecture practice is seeking a Senior Technical Architect / Technical Lead to drive technical excellence across residential-led and mixed-use projects. This is a senior practice-wide role for an experienced Architect or Chartered Architectural Technologist who enjoys shaping standards, supporting teams and leading on building safety, compliance and buildability.
The Role
You will act as a central technical authority, supporting projects from early design through to delivery. Working closely with Project Leaders, you’ll help embed best practice, regulatory compliance and risk management across all RIBA stages. Responsibilities include leading technical reviews, advising on Building Regulations and fire safety, supporting construction stages and contributing to the development of practice-wide technical standards and quality systems.
Requirements:
- Strong post-qualification experience delivering UK residential or mixed-use projects, particularly across RIBA Stages 3–6.
- Excellent knowledge of the Building Safety Act, fire and life safety, and UK technical detailing.
- Confidence working with contractors, consultants and clients.
- A collaborative mindset, with a passion for mentoring, training and raising technical capability across project teams and studios.
