If you have ever thought about stepping client side or working directly with high net worth individuals, this role offers an unusually exciting route into that world. You would become the in house Architect for a family who are developing their main London home and an impressive Greek property, both of which will be deeply personal projects with long term significance.

Rather than juggling a wide range of commercial schemes, you will focus on a small number of beautifully crafted residential spaces, taking ideas from early concepts all the way through to construction. You will work closely with the Managing Director and the family’s representatives, shaping layouts, preparing planning information, coordinating external consultants and ensuring the design intent carries through every decision.

The environment is calm, respectful and highly confidential. The family values good design and wants someone who can communicate clearly, think independently and navigate the different needs of London and Greek projects. You will be hands on with materials, furniture, joinery and detailing, and you will travel occasionally for site visits and design reviews.

The studio uses AutoCAD as its main software, but if you bring skills in other platforms that is welcomed. What matters most is your design judgement, technical understanding and ability to work closely with private clients. You will have the chance to influence the future direction of the family’s property portfolio and help establish clear architectural standards from the inside.

If you are curious about private client work, enjoy high end residential design and want more control over the projects you lead, this role could be transformative for your career.

Responsibilities
  • Develop architectural concepts for the family’s London and Greek homes
  • Prepare and coordinate planning drawings, reports and consultant inputs
  • Review feasibility, regulatory constraints and design options in both regions
  • Select materials, finishes, joinery, furniture and decorative elements
  • Oversee and review construction information from external consultants
  • Attend site visits to monitor design quality and support decision making
  • Maintain project documentation and drawing registers to a high standard
  • Support the Managing Director and client representatives with strategic design input
Skills and Experience
  • Degree in Architecture with at least five years experience in high quality residential design
  • Strong design sensibility and understanding of construction processes
  • Professional and confident communication when dealing with private clients
  • Proficient in AutoCAD as the primary tool, with other software an advantage
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams independently
  • Organised, calm and able to work discreetly in a private client environment
Benefits
  • Opportunity to work directly with a high net worth family on long term signature homes
  • High degree of design ownership and influence on both UK and Greek properties
  • Collaborative, respectful studio culture with client side exposure
  • Hybrid working options and occasional international travel
  • Growth potential as the family’s property portfolio evolves
