An award-winning, multidisciplinary design practice is seeking an experienced Associate Architect to lead and grow its Industrial & Logistics sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded architect with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of delivering major projects across all RIBA stages.
Working from one of the practice’s UK studios, you will take a leading role in the design, coordination and delivery of industrial and logistics developments while supporting business growth and nurturing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale Industrial & Logistics projects from inception through to completion
- Act as Lead Designer, managing project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs
- Develop strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Oversee technical design, tender documentation and construction information
- Review and prepare NBS specifications and technical drawing packages
- Ensure projects comply with UK planning policy, Building Regulations and relevant British Standards
- Support sector growth through client engagement and business development activities.
- Mentor and develop junior team members while contributing to a collaborative studio culture
Requirements
- ARB-registered Architect with at least 8 years post qualification experience
- Significant experience delivering projects across RIBA Stages 0–6
- Proven experience leading and managing major projects
- Strong understanding of UK planning policy, Building Regulations and British Standards
- Experience producing detailed technical drawing packages for tender and construction
- Strong specification writing and review experience
- Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Revit experience would be advantageous, although strong technical aptitude and the ability to adopt new software is equally valued
- Previous Industrial & Logistics sector experience is essential
