Project Architect, Private Residential

Project Architect, Private Residential

Full-Time On-site
A

Here is a rare thing in London residential: a Project Architect role where you own the project from the first sketch to the final detail. You will take bespoke private homes through every RIBA stage, concept to completion, in a small, design-led North London studio.

If you are post Part 3 with a portfolio of high-end homes behind you, this is a role you can grow into. Every project here is one of a kind, you work directly with private clients, and you shape the design rather than inherit it. Read on if you want your name on homes that genuinely change how people live.

The Practice

  • The studio is a RIBA Chartered, design-led practice in North London with more than 13 years of experience.
  • The team is six people, specialising in high-quality residential and commercial design.
  • The practice leads with human-centred, neuroarchitecture principles, from natural light to ceiling height.

The Work

  • You will take bespoke private homes from the very first sketch through to completion.
  • You will drive projects through all RIBA stages, from concept to completion.
  • You will develop bold design solutions that reflect the individuality of each client.
  • You will manage relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • You will keep projects on track for quality, programme and budget.

What You Need

  • You have a minimum of five years of post-Part 3 experience.
  • You have strong experience delivering high-end private residential projects in the UK.
  • Your portfolio shows flair in both design and technical delivery.
  • You communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
  • You are confident managing projects independently and guiding junior colleagues.
  • You already have the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.

The Offer

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • The role is hybrid, based at the North London studio in Belsize Village.
  • The studio works mainly with Revit.
  • The practice will support the right person towards Part 3, where relevant.
  • You join a close-knit team that values design excellence and professional growth.

Worth knowing before you apply: this is a fully on-site role, and the practice cannot offer visa sponsorship, so you need the right to work in the UK already. It is also a small studio, so this suits someone who wants hands‑on ownership rather than a large‑firm structure.

Here is why it is worth the move. You get to run one‑of‑a‑kind private homes end to end, with genuine creative freedom and a direct line to the clients you design for. The studio is built on human‑centred design, you work on projects where light and space are the whole point, and there is room to take on more responsibility as the practice grows.
