We are looking for an experienced CAD technician to join our team in Accrington. If you are detail-oriented, technically minded and confident producing accurate CAD drawings while liaising with clients and internal teams, we want to hear from you.

We are a specialist manufacturer of Prefabricated GRP Entrance Canopies, Bay Canopies, Chimneys & Dormers and looking for a CAD Technician to support design, technical coordination, and tender activity. The role focuses on CAD drawing production, technical documentation, and client liaison, working closely with internal manufacturing teams and external stakeholders.

Duties Include:

  • Creating & Modifying basic CAD Drawings for GRP Entrance Canopies & Dormers using Sketch Up.
  • Use Detailed Drawings to help estimating department to create competitive tenders.
  • Respond to Customer Technical Queries.
  • Interpret Surveys & produce Drawings for Manufacture.
  • Develop & Understand Company Products.
  • Digesting Tender Documents.
  • Liaising with clients to secure specification in Tender Documents.
  • Create Specification Sheets & Fitting Instructions for new & existing Products.
  • Communicate with Clients, Architects and Site Staff to ensure designs are fully understood.
  • Strive to develop new products.
  • Occasional Site Survey.
  • Understand Building Regulation requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • IT literate in Word, Excel, Email, Office, Outlook, Adobe.
  • CAD experience is essential and Sketch Up experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the Construction, Window & Door Industry beneficial.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand & give clear visual, written & oral instructions.
  • Organised and able to think around common technical problems.
