AD are a successful and rapidly growing refurbishment and maintenance contractor, and in cohesion with this expansion, we are looking for an individual who has the motivation to improve their current skill set and employ a brand-new set of skills to add to their repertoire. For any individual, this is a fantastic opportunity that will test your organisational skills, working to strict deadlines, and negotiating with clients and suppliers. It also allows people to work on and show off their sociability skills when liaising regularly with colleagues and suppliers. AD is a family run business, starting in 1944. They are continuing to develop and grow all these years later, but still maintain that family culture and relationship with all their employees.
Main Duties:
- Purchasing: liaise with goods and service providers, and ensure that company financial procedures are adhered to when raising orders.
- Store Commodities: make recommendations for additions and deletions of items that are stocked.
- Ensure items are effectively recorded on registers.
- Provide advice and guidance in respect of purchasing procedure.
- Provide good, clear, precise communication on all aspects of the service provided.
Person Specification:
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Confident and articulate negotiator with proven results.
- Able to work as part of the team and build relationships on all levels.
- Flexible approach to duties.
- Willingness to provide assistance to other team members.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent organisational skills are essential.
- A minimum of grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.
Package:
- Hours - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1hr for lunch).
- 21 days of holiday + bank holidays and Christmas closure.
- Birthday day off.
Additional Information:
- As part of the interview process you will be required to complete an aptitude test.
- Nine-month probationary period.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- This will be a 15-month fixed term contract covering the duration of the apprenticeship.
