These sit alongside a solid body of crafted built work including unique one-off houses, multi-house custom build schemes, and various innovative public and commercial buildings.
We want to work with the most creative and exciting minds in and around architecture. We have an agenda for culture change towards net zero, biodiversity revitalisation, and the deep connection of people and place. We use innovative technology where we can to further this. To change culture, you also need to tell great stories. With an increasing range of exciting projects and areas of research, we are considering people who are up for, and fantastic at, telling great stories through their architecture, and who are excited by occupying the sometimes unnerving space at the edge of innovation.
We are a busy small practice, working out of the top floor of an old listed mill building in the Stroud Valleys; a beautiful and vibrant area in the heart of the Cotswolds, recently voted best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times. Our office uses Vectorworks, Revit, Blender, and Unreal Engine.
We welcome applications from candidates:
- With excellent design and graphical skills, including the ability to develop visuals for projects using 3D computer modeling.
- Keen to contribute to the collaborative and friendly studio culture.
- Who are enthusiastic and show initiative.
- Have good written and spoken English skills and the ability to communicate with the team, clients, and collaborators.
- Individuals with experience working in a design-led practice with a passion for innovation and craft.
- Confident working independently and taking on high levels of responsibility.
- Working knowledge of the UK Building Regulations and Plan of Works.
Applicants must have a RIBA Part 1 and Part 2 architectural qualification. Please note that all applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Benefits:
- Flexi-time policy
- Annual leave allowance starting at 23.5 days per year + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown
- Strong studio-based design culture
- Friendly and collaborative office environment with a flat management structure
- Career and personal development support
- Encouragement of a good work-life balance
- Beautiful work setting
- The opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects alongside our more experienced staff. The roles will be very practical, and you will get to learn and experience all stages of a project.
Salary:
- Part I's – £24,960
- Part 2's – from £26,000 depending on level of experience and qualifications
Location: The office is based in a characterful converted mill building along a canal in the Golden Valley of the beautiful Cotswolds, percolating in a rich cultural heritage of art, craft, and industry. Please note that this role is office-based and that we are in a rural location with limited public transport.
Closing date: Monday, 17th February 2025. We may close applications early if we find the right candidate, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
