The Team: An international team (with more than 30 nationalities) with complementary education and experience in the investment, medical, scientific, strategic and operational sectors. Composed of alumni from: INSEAD, Berkeley, Georgetown, Bocconi, HEC Paris, Ponts et Chaussées, ESSEC, Imperial College, Dartmouth, etc. Professional backgrounds: Private Equity (3i, Siparex, USS Ltd, Barings, capiton), Consulting (A.T. Kearney, Bain, McKinsey), M&A (Lazard, EY, KPMG, PwC), Industry (Biotronik, Cerba, Pharmacy, Veterinary).
Your Role:
- Fundraisings: In conjunction with the Head of Investor Relations and top management, support the strategizing, planning, and execution of fundraisings, including market analysis, preparation of all fund marketing materials (including VDR, pitch decks, PPM, DDQ, etc.), and legal and fund structuring and partnership-formation with various providers.
- Proactively expand the firm's network of global investor relationships, directly as well as by enabling the firm leadership, to bring a constant focus on deepening existing investor relationships as well as identifying and cultivating prospective new investor relationships.
- Promote the continual articulation of the story of the firm's unique team, strategy, performance and impact to the investor community; attend key investor conferences and events, and be an articulate spokesperson for the firm, exemplifying its values and vision.
- On an ongoing basis before and throughout fundraisings, support the development and execution of formal fundraising pitches and roadshow-type activities.
- IR Operations: Responsible for the operation of the firm's IR program, such as quarterly and yearly funds and co-investment reporting (working closely with Finance, Impact, and Investment Teams), LP requests, LP secondary transfers, etc. Lead the planning and execution of the firm's annual Investor AGM, working closely with the Communications team.
- Co-investments & GP led secondaries & Other ad-hoc vehicles: Assist the firm's co-investment program, both with existing investors and the wider external private equity and financial services community. Support the execution of co-investment opportunities with deal teams. Participate in the strategic development of ARCHIMED's fund lines by structuring and raising GP led secondaries when relevant.
Aptitudes and Skills we look for:
- Experienced IR professional - Relevant experience(s) in Investor Relations and Fundraising with institutional investors.
- Financial Acumen - Comfortable using modelling and frameworks to analyze deals and track-record and be able to provide quality financial due diligence to investors.
- Market (and its Subtleties) Knowledge - Good knowledge of the market practices, existing products, legal structures, etc.
- Data Search and Interpretation - Persistent and resourceful in finding industry and investor information. Can translate voluminous data into valuable information.
- Priority Setting / Multi-Tasking - Processes information and makes decisions in a fast-paced environment. Can effectively manage conflicting demands rather than reacting to them. Ability to work under pressure, with strong communication, and analytic skills.
- Communication Skills - Able to articulate complex situations, such as industry dynamics or deal structures, in logical, factual, and clear terms, both verbally and in writing.
- Working with Others - Inspires professionalism and confidence in relationships within ArchiMed and if required with investee companies. Maintains intellectual honesty by valuing others' input and points of view. Pro-actively solicit opinions and ideas. Positive and can-do attitude. Capable of working both independently and in close team dynamics.
Requirements:
- 10-12+ years of experience in and an understanding of sales processes in financial services / private equity. Ability to identify prospects, build a sales pipeline and tailor the parameters of the sales proposition are essential criteria.
- Financial background, with a robust understanding of private equity fund structuring and terms, fund performance metrics and portfolio financials that are critical to the role.
- Capable of finding creative solutions and proactively identifying market opportunities for growth by accessing new and larger pools of Assets Under Management (AUM).
- With a higher education degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
- Ideal candidate will possess ability to build a network and have experience managing relationships independently.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Entrepreneurial approach and fully committed to help building and establishing a new business.
