About the Role
As Head Chef, you\’ll lead a team of five in our well-equipped kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality dishes across a variety of services:
- All-day dining – brunch and lunch, six days per week
- Dinner service – four evenings per week
- Private dining
Working closely with the company directors, you\’ll have the freedom to develop creative, seasonal menus and play a central role in defining the future of Archie\’s. You\’ll lead by example, building a motivated, professional kitchen culture and ensuring every dish meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of five kitchen staff
- Plan and deliver seasonal menus and bespoke event offerings
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations with an efficiency and organisation
- Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen budgets
- Recruit, train, and inspire your team to perform at their best
- Collaborate with leadership on long-term strategy and growth
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader in a busy environment
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creative, seasonal cooking
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
- Calm, proactive, and solution-focused approach under pressure
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Valid food handling certifications
