We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and collaborating closely with clients and construction teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, on mostly residential developments with some commercial, ensuring functional, aesthetic, and sustainable design solutions. The Architect will utilise advanced software tools and project management skills to deliver high-quality outcomes within specified deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural designs and concepts using Archicad.
- Experience of all RIBA design stages.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, sections, and elevations in accordance with project specifications and building regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into feasible design proposals.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless execution.
- Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site visits during construction phases to oversee progress and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Stay updated on industry standards, building regulations, and sustainable practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Architect, recent graduates welcome with part 1 and 2 experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software Archicad is highly desirable, though training will be given.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and building regulations within the UK.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Experience in project management is advantageous but not essential; a proactive approach to problem-solving is required.
