Headteacher: Mr S Cowgill (from September 2026)

Number on roll: 420 with a 39 place nursery and a 15 place pre–school provision.

Salary: Scale point 6, actual salary £18,886. FTE salary £25,989 (pay award pending).

Hours: 32.08 hours per week. Term time only.

Contractual Status: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027 in the first instance.

We are seeking to recruit, for September 2026, two dynamic, creative and highly motivated, suitably experienced teaching assistants to join our warm and welcoming school. One position will be in KS1 and one position will be in KS2. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone aspiring to be a teacher, or a recently qualified teacher who is unable to secure their first appointment but keen to be working in a school environment.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a recognised NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A good understanding of child development
  • Be able to demonstrate very good relationships with children and adults
  • Be able to motivate children and inspire them to learn
  • Be a good team player
  • Have knowledge of the KS1 or KS2 curriculum
