Job Description:
This is a contract role that will run for the length of the project with the potential for more work for a suitable candidate once this project completes.
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to work on a high-end fit out project located in central London, near Liverpool Street Station. This scheme is due to commence in November 2024. This is a permanent role for approx. 10 months or until completion of the project in Autumn 2025.
This role will encompass the management of all site labour and of all site activities, Health and Safety, overseeing trade contractors and making sure all work is completed to the highest spec, on time and in line with the programme provided by the Construction Manager and within the parameters of the budget and of the design, ensuring that commercial opportunities are maximised to achieve savings while maintaining the highest quality of the final product.
This manager will work alongside the Construction Manager who will lead the project delivery on site with the support of this sought-after Site Manager.
Weekend work will be required from time to time.
The Site Manager will be reporting to the company Managing Director.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the role will be a well-established Site Manager who has extensive experience managing high-end fit out and refurbishment projects, with a proven track record across schemes of a similar nature.
The perfect candidate will have progressed from a trade background within the refurbishment market and have specific experience managing the fit out of hotels and/or restaurants, bars, clubs, offices, and similar and will understand the building process, with the ability to be hands-on when required.
We are looking for a good communicator, able to manage and interact with contractors in a positive engaging manner with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a lead Site Manager in construction interior fit outs and refurbishment sector and the ability to run the site to meet CDM requirements.
